Join award-winning poet Sherry Shenoda as we consider: From the inner life to universal understanding: what makes it a poem? How do we wield language to tell the truth at a slant? 

Sherry Shenoda is a Coptic Orthodox poet and pediatrician. She is the author of Mummy Eaters, Longlisted for the 2022 National Book Award in Poetry and the winner of the Sillerman First Book Prize in African Poetry, and the American Book Award. She is also the author of The Lightkeeper, a novel. 

Writers at every stage are welcome. We hope you will join us! (Orthodox women only, please).
