Text

In this workshop, Katherine Bolger Hyde will explore some of the various ways Orthodox writers can express and honor their faith in their fiction without alienating or confusing readers who do not share it. A brief lecture will be followed by time to work on a choice of writing prompts and then an opportunity to share and discuss our work and struggles.

Katherine Bolger Hyde is the author of the Crime with the Classics traditional mystery series as well as several standalone novels, including The Vestibule of Heaven (Ancient Faith Publishing, 2024), and four children’s books. Katherine lives in the Pacific Northwest with her musician husband, John, and two vocal but sadly unmusical cats. When not writing, she can generally be found watching British detective shows while attempting to keep her knitting away from the aforementioned cats.

Writers at every stage are welcome. We hope you will join us! (Orthodox women only, please).
