This past year, we’ve begun building the foundations of the Axia Center for Healing, Training, and Research. Among other initiatives, we:
- Launched a new series of online courses, titled Women Sharing the Good News: Preaching and Teaching
- Hosted a webinar on trauma, titled “Recreation from our Wounds,” with Nicole Roccas and Eleni Opperwall
- Hosted two regional networking events in Portland and Anchorage, with another soon to happen in Houston (plus more to come around the US in 2026!)
- Co-sponsored a research project with St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary to uncover prayers written by Orthodox women
- Led our first Myrrhbearing Women Pilgrimage Retreat, with plans (God willing!) to travel to Jerusalem together in 2026.
Along the way, we also created a two-year plan to scale up this important work–and we will soon start to include a program of service opportunities for women as well as a certificate program in facilitation. We realize our vision for the Center for Healing, Research, and Training will not happen overnight. It will take several years of consistent, strategic growth, alongside support from donors like you.
